Current Campaign Project: An Indoor Kitchen, an infirmary, security fencing, and two additional classrooms
PHASE 1: INDOOR KITCHEN ESTIMATED COST: $40,000
While gangs are tearing down structures and families are destroyed in areas of Haiti, we are still able to continue to build up the community of Momance. Currently, three hundred children are counting on us for breakfast and lunch each day. Our volunteer cooks prepare the meals under the shade of a mango tree. They need and deserve an indoor kitchen to protect the food, cooking equipment and themselves from the weather and creatures. We want to give them a place to prepare, cook, and serve meals out of the elements.
PHASE 2: AN INFIRMARY ESTIMATED COST: $40,000
Friends of Momance urgently needs a dedicated infirmary. Currently, monthly medical and dental clinics are held in a shared classroom, disrupting learning and limiting privacy. The school nurse currently operates with a backpack and a cot outside, lacking the most basic facilities to care for students. A proper infirmary would provide a clean, private, and functional space for essential health services, ensuring students receive the care they need in a safe and respectful environment.
PHASE 3: security fencing ESTIMATED COST: $15,000
Our growing campus needs additional security fencing. This extension is needed to accommodate the new structures and to continue to ensure the students and staff feel the safety they deserve.
PHASE 4: two new classrooms ESTIMATED COST: $55,000
Two classes of students in Momance have been attending class in an outdoor pavilion, exposed to the elements and distractions that make learning difficult. To provide a safe, focused, and weather-resistant environment, there is an urgent need to fund the construction of two proper classrooms. These classrooms will offer stability, enhance educational outcomes, and show the students that their learning truly matters.
We know education is the key to building a better Haiti.
Please help us to continue to build and provide a safe and healthy space for them to learn and grow.
